Barmo Accounts is a bookkeeping service built specifically for gig workers in Finland: platform couriers (Wolt, Uber Eats, and others), and toiminimi owners more broadly who need their VAT and taxes handled correctly without paying traditional tilitoimisto rates.

My name is Mohan Giri. I am a Master's student in Computer Science at the University of Helsinki. I started Barmo Accounts after repeatedly meeting international workers in Finland: platform couriers and gig workers who were either avoiding their tax obligations because the system felt impossibly complex, or paying €60+ a month to tilitoimistot for VAT filings that follow a completely predictable pattern. Finnish VAT rules for a standard gig-worker toiminimi are rule-based and consistent. I built the systems that run this service myself, and I file directly on OmaVero via your suomi.fi authorisation. If something falls outside the scope of this service (unusual business structures, retroactive corrections requiring a licensed auditor), I will tell you directly.
